Attollo Speaks Up
At Attollo we mourn the unconscionable murders of #breonnataylor #ahmaudarbery and #georgefloyd who died at the hands of merciless law enforcement and racist citizens. Our grief and anger runs deep and our sincere condolences go out to the loved ones of Ms. Taylor, Mr. Arbery and Mr. Floyd.
While these unspeakable acts are unfathomable, we are watching history repeat itself in real time. Black oppression has plagued our nation for far too long. In combatting the United States’ systemic racism against black and brown people of color, we must check our pride and egos at the door. We must focus our attention and energy on dismantling and restructuring the systems that perpetuate violence and inequity among the American people.
#blacklivesmatter and we are more committed than ever to ensuring the youth in our community are entering a world whose fabric has been rewoven with threads of inclusion and equity.
