The Attollo Program, part of The Children Deserve a Chance Foundation, is a college access and leadership development program for high school students in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Our mission is to support success-oriented students from diverse backgrounds in their pursuit of academic achievement, self-empowerment, and social engagement.  The organization was founded in 2008 by Jordan Steffy. Throughout our programs, we emphasize three main areas of growth for our students: radical self-inquiry through reflection and introspection, performing complex tasks at an exceptional level, and sharing their stories in an empowering manner. We accomplish this through rigorous and transformative programming designed to prepare students for college and life in the professional world.

I AM MORE.

Six Pillars

The six core pillars of Attollo were designed as a formula for success that could be applied and interpreted differently by every Attollo Scholar to help them succeed no matter what they set out to accomplish. Every Attollo scholar must know each pillar's definition and learn how to use the pillars as a tool for self-reflection during our 6-week Attollo Recruit program. These pillars are incorporated into all Attollo programs, experiences, and mentorship.

  • Strong Mind

Being open to taking on difficult challenges and solving tough problems.

  • Competition

The act of trying to win.

  • Resiliency

    Bouncing back from setbacks.

  • Accountability

Knowing that my actions not only affect me but others as well.

  • Sacrifice

Giving up something now to get something better in the future.

  • Finish Strong

Completing one’s plan with intensity and pride.

Scholar Experience

To be recruited as an Attollo Scholar, a student must be enrolled at one of our ten partner high schools and nominated by their administration to participate in the Attollo Recruit program. After successfully completing the 6-week onboarding program, Attollo Scholars receive access to year-round mentorship and college prep support until their high school graduation. Attollo Scholars are supported with 20 hours of SAT prep, college application support workshops, national college tours, and access to Scholar programs such as Attollo Pre-Law, Attollo Code, Attollo Startup, and Attollo Pre-Med. Attollo’s 13 Scholar programs and the K-12 education students receive at our partner schools help young people around Lancaster County become future leaders, change makers, and engaged citizens.
