Strengthening Our Community Through Cultural Affinity Groups
At Attollo Prep, we are dedicated to creating an environment where every student feels seen, heard, and celebrated for who they are. Our cultural affinity groups, including LatinXcellence, Attollo BLACK, and the Ethiopian and Eritrean Club, are integral to this mission. They allow students to not only explore their cultural identity but also connect with others who share similar experiences, challenges, and triumphs.
By providing these spaces, we are empowering students to take pride in their heritage while building the skills, leadership qualities, and confidence they need to succeed. Each affinity group is a vital part of our larger community, and they collectively create a rich tapestry of cultural pride, solidarity, and mutual support.
What to Expect:
🎮 Game Days: A relaxed, fun environment where students from all backgrounds can bond over friendly competition. Whether through sports, video games, or other group activities, Game Days offer an opportunity for members of LatinXcellence, Attollo BLACK, and the Ethiopian and Eritrean Club to connect, share in lighthearted moments, and build lasting friendships while celebrating the unity and joy that comes with coming together as a community.
💬 Cultural Discussions: A space for open dialogue where students from different cultural identities—whether Latinx, Black, Ethiopian, or Eritrean—can share their personal stories, explore their heritage, and engage in conversations about identity, current events, and social justice. These discussions empower students to learn from one another, broaden their perspectives, and cultivate a deeper understanding of what it means to be part of their respective communities in today’s world.
🤝🏽 Community Outreach: Giving back is a core value for all the affinity groups at Attollo Prep. Whether through initiatives led by LatinXcellence, Attollo BLACK, or the Ethiopian and Eritrean Club, students will have the chance to participate in outreach programs that make a positive impact on the local community. By sharing their cultural pride and contributing to meaningful causes, students will experience the power of service while honoring the values of solidarity and collective responsibility.
LatinXcellence (LX): A Celebration of Heritage and Community
LatinXcellence (LX) is all about creating a space where students can embrace and celebrate their Latinx culture in a way that feels authentic to them. Whether you're looking to dive deeper into your roots, rep your heritage proudly, or simply connect with like-minded peers, LX is here for you!
We understand that Latinx culture is diverse, encompassing a wide range of nationalities, traditions, and experiences. LatinXcellence will provide a safe, welcoming environment where students can share their stories, learn from one another, and grow together as a community.

Ethiopian & Eritrean club: Celebrating Roots, Resilience, and Unity

This club honors the rich history and traditions of these communities while providing a platform for students to share their unique experiences.
Through cultural events, community gatherings, and educational discussions, the Ethiopian and Eritrean Club fosters a sense of belonging and pride.
